The Sales Close Agent is generally available

Deals stall for a boring reason more often than an exciting one: nobody on the deal team noticed what changed since the last time they looked.

The Sales Close Agent, now generally available in Dynamics 365 Sales after a May preview, is built around exactly that gap.

What it actually does

The agent sits inside a chat interface a rep already uses and answers direct questions about a specific deal: what has changed, what the current risk looks like, and what to do next. Rather than a static dashboard a rep has to remember to check, it is built delta first, meaning it surfaces what is different since the last interaction rather than repeating the full deal history every time.

For a sales manager running a portfolio of deals, that turns a weekly pipeline review from a manual trawl through CRM records into a targeted conversation about the two or three deals that actually moved.

Why this is different from what came before

Deal insight tools have existed in Dynamics 365 for years. The difference here is that this one is conversational and change-aware, not a report you have to know to run. For sales teams already using Copilot day to day, this is a natural extension rather than a new tool to learn.

What to do next

If your sales team is on Dynamics 365 Sales with Copilot licensing in place, this is now live and worth a short pilot with one or two deal teams before a wider rollout. If you are not sure whether your current licensing includes it, that is a five-minute conversation with your Braintree account manager.
