AURORA MANAGED DETECTION & RESPONSE
Fewer unanswered alerts. A clearer response.
Security tools produce signals. Your business needs someone to connect them, decide what matters and help you respond. MDR pairs the Aurora platform with security specialists who learn your environment.
01
Monitor the agreed environment
Connect supported endpoint, network, identity and cloud sources for continuous detection. Confirm the useful signals and detection use cases behind each integration.
02
Investigate with context
The Aurora Agentic SOC combines AI-led investigation with human oversight. Threat intelligence and knowledge of your environment help turn activity into a meaningful finding.
03
Contain through supported tools
Active Response can connect findings to host, email, identity or network actions. The selected integrations, permissions and agreed authority determine what the service can do.
04
Turn findings into improvements
The Concierge Experience supports security-posture reviews and guided remediation priorities. Braintree helps connect the resulting work to your environment and change process.
HOW THE WORK CONNECTS
From a signal to a response.
Data Explorer Lite and full licences have different data windows. Custom alerts and Raw Log Search require a full licence; raw-log history follows the retention policy. Specialist incident response and restoration are separate scope decisions.
01
Collect
Supported sources send security telemetry.
02
Investigate
Analysts examine activity and its business context.
03
Respond
The authorised team contains or remediates the issue.
04
Improve
Findings inform the next hardening priorities.

AURORA MANAGED DETECTION & RESPONSE IN DETAIL
The detail behind the decision.
Explore the fit, implementation requirements and practical questions with your team.
01
Connect the signals that matter to your business
Braintree’s managed detection and response offering with Arctic Wolf brings network, endpoint, identity and cloud information into a monitored security operation. The practical benefit is a route from technical activity to an investigated issue and an agreed response. The starting point is coverage: which systems generate useful signals, how those signals reach the service and who can act on the findings.
Arctic Wolf’s MDR documentation describes physical or virtual sensors, endpoint agents and cloud or log-forwarding integrations. It also warns that the ability to ingest a log source does not establish that every source has supported parsing or detection rules. Braintree can use the estate inventory to distinguish a configured source from a validated detection use case.
02
Add context to the alert
Aurora Managed Detection and Response combines continuous monitoring with investigation through the Aurora Agentic SOC. Specialised AI agents work with human oversight, threat intelligence and context about the customer’s environment. The Concierge Experience connects findings with security-improvement priorities, so the service can help your team understand the issue and decide what needs to happen next.
The review should show how an issue is communicated, which information appears in the ticket and what the customer is expected to do next. A useful demonstration includes the source of the finding, its significance to the business and the decision that follows. Your agreed service terms define the response commitments that apply to your organisation.
03
Agree the actions before an incident
Active Response supports specific actions through first-party and third-party integrations. Arctic Wolf’s current documentation separates email, identity, host and network response surfaces and lists the products supported on each. The ability to collect an alert and the ability to take an action are separate integration requirements.
Braintree should therefore scope response authority alongside the connection. Identify which approved actions may proceed, which systems need special handling and who is contacted when an action affects a critical service. Customer remediation can include work outside the provider’s configured control, such as an application change or a wider recovery decision. Those responsibilities belong in the operating plan.
04
Keep monitoring connected as the estate changes
New sites, endpoints, tenants and security tools can change the signals available for investigation. A useful ongoing review checks whether the inventory and the monitored environment still agree, whether contacts remain correct and whether recommendations have been assigned to an owner. This turns service reporting into a record of decisions and follow-through.
The Braintree offer connects investigation to guided remediation and security improvement. The agreed service and Concierge tier determine the actual review arrangements. A dashboard alone does not show that a remediation task has been completed; the customer and service team need a shared way to record the action and examine the resulting evidence.
05
Define the monitoring and response handover
An MDR assessment with Braintree should produce an explicit view of the sources, integrations and people in scope. Existing Microsoft security services can form part of that design where their licences and supported connectors provide the required data.
Map sites, users, servers, identity services and cloud workloads to the proposed monitoring sources.
Confirm supported parsing, detections and the health of each required data connection.
Identify approved response actions and the customer contacts for critical systems.
Demonstrate the path from investigation to ticket, escalation and customer action.
Agree reporting, service review and change-notification responsibilities.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Practical questions.
▸
Does MDR replace every existing security product?
▸
Is collecting logs the same as detecting every threat?
▸
Can Arctic Wolf contain a threat directly?
▸
What remains with the internal IT team?
▸
How far back can our team investigate the data?
▸
Can Aurora Security Assistant query every part of our environment?
